Fairways ("the app", "we") is a golf community platform for recording rounds, tracking performance, joining societies and events, discovering courses, analysing your swing, and listing second-hand golf equipment. Fairways is managed by Farrell International FZ LLC, License 17008398, registered in RAKEZ (Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone), FDBC4815, Compass Building, Al Shohada Road, Al Hamra Industrial Zone-FZ, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. By creating an account you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use Fairways. You can sign in with email or Google. We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these Terms.
3. Fairways+ membership
Fairways+ is an optional paid subscription (monthly or yearly, prices shown in the app include VAT) unlocking premium features such as the Smart Caddie and AI Coach. Payment is processed by Stripe. New members receive a free trial; you will not be charged if you cancel before the trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, which you can do any time in Settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Statutory refund rights are unaffected.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of content you post (rounds, captions, comments, photos, listings). You grant Fairways a non-exclusive licence to display that content within the app so the service can function. Do not post content that is unlawful, offensive, misleading, or infringes the rights of others. We may remove content that breaches these Terms.
5. Scores and handicaps
Scores are self-recorded. The Fairways handicap is an estimate calculated from your recorded rounds and is not an official World Handicap System index. Do not present a Fairways estimate as an official handicap. Society competition results are administered by society organisers, not by Fairways.
6. AI features
Some features use artificial intelligence: scorecard scanning, the AI Coach, and Swing Studio analysis. AI outputs are estimates generated from the data you provide and can be wrong — always review scanned scores before saving, and treat coaching commentary as general information, not professional instruction or medical advice. Yardages, club suggestions and swing metrics are approximations; play within your own judgement and ability.
7. Societies and events
Societies are run by their own organisers, who control membership and events. Event fees shown in the app are collected by the society or venue, not by Fairways. Fairways is not a party to arrangements between you, societies, and golf clubs.
8. Marketplace
The Fairways marketplace connects buyers and sellers of golf equipment. Fairways does not process payments, hold funds, verify items, or act as a party to any sale. Transactions are agreed and completed directly between users at their own risk. Inspect items before paying, meet in safe public locations, and report suspicious listings.
9. Location and camera
On-course features (yardages, hole maps, shot measurement) use your device location while you use them. Your precise live location is never shown publicly to other users. Swing Studio uses videos you choose to record or upload; analysis runs on your device and the video itself is never uploaded to our servers.
10. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the app: no harassment, spam, scraping, reverse engineering, automated access, or interference with the service or other users.
11. Liability
Fairways is provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fairways is not liable for indirect losses, for the conduct of other users, for marketplace transactions, or for decisions made in reliance on app data (including yardages, handicap estimates, AI coaching and swing metrics). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Changes and termination
We may update the app and these Terms; material changes will be notified in the app. You may delete your account at any time. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
